V.I. Police officers on St. John arrested 29-year-old Elizabeth Veloz, of Estate Contant, Wednesday night and charged her with third-degree assault/domestic violence.
According to the police, Veloz was arrested after she struck her husband in his face. Then, as her husband pushed her out of their bedroom, Veloz used a kitchen knife to gain entry into the room and then stabbed him in his left hand causing serious injury, the report said.
The arrest occurred at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Veloz was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections, pending her advise of rights hearing.
