Official List Released of Transfer Centennial Events

The following is a list of the Centennial Events Scheduled for March 24 Through April 2:

March 24: Fort Fete – Fort Christian, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

9 a.m. – “In De Yard” in Emancipation Garden

Noon – Boat Parade in Charlotte Amalie Harbor

4 p.m. – Rising Stars Steel Band Show

6 p.m. – Ceremony in Emancipation Garden; immediately followed by a free concert

March 26

1:30 p.m. –  Parade from National Park Dock ending at The Battery, Cruz Bay, St. John

3-5 p.m. – Governor’s Reception at The Battery

6-10 p.m. – Cruz Bay Block Party in Powell Park

March 29

6-8 p.m. –  Governor’s Reception at Fort Christian, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

March 30

6-8 p.m. – Governor’s Reception at Government House, Christiansted, St. Croix

March 31 – Transfer Day Activities

St. Croix

 8-10 a.m. – Parade

10 a.m. to noon – Ceremony, Christiansted Bandstand

St. Thomas

2:00-3:00 p.m. – Parade

3-6 p.m. – Ceremony at Capital Grounds Legislature of the V.I., Charlotte Amalie

April 1

8-10 p.m. – Centennial Public Reception at Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef Beach Resort on St Thomas; Open to the public, limited seating. For more information, contact James O’Bryan Jr. at 774-8784, ext. 2260.

April 2

6-10 p.m. – Centennial Gala Ball at Renaissance Carambola Beach Resort and Spa on St. Croix; $75 per ticket; ticket outlets are Anally Farms and Undercover Books
