DHS to Hold Annual Career Fair Focusing on Job Opportunities

The V.I. Department of Human Services (DHS) Head Start Program, in collaboration with other programs such as JOBS Program, Vocational Rehabilitation and the Senior Citizen Education Program (SCEP), will host the 2nd Annual Career Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 7, at the Head Start Sugar Estate Multi-Purpose Building on 1st Avenue, St. Thomas.

“Career fairs provide a convenient and unique opportunity for all who are interested to come out and meet potential employers in our community,” Commissioner Designee Felecia L. Blyden said. “These organizations are looking for full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. I welcome the community to take advantage of this opportunity that is being afforded to them.”

Individuals are encouraged to explore jobs at this event. DHS asks job seekers to bring an updated resume, to dress in business attire and to be ready to speak with prospective employers.
