St. John Resort Listed as a Top Honeymoon Destination

St. John is often touted as a great vacation destination, and it has happened again. The Canadian travel site Flight Network rated a Cruz Bay resort one of the 22 best honeymoon destinations under $3,500 (Canadian) in the world.

The smallest of the three major U.S. Virgin Islands took its place alongside such well-known destinations as Maui, Hawaii, and Italy’s Amalfi Coast in the Flight Network listing posted Thursday, which includes resorts around the world.

The listing focused on the Gallows Point Resort in Cruz Bay, where a week stay would cost $2.065 a week plus taxes. This is what Flight Network had to say about the island:

“It may be the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands, but St. John leaves a big impression on everyone who visits. The island’s unspoiled natural beauty is praised as some of the best in the Caribbean, and with roughly 60-percent of the island protected as a national park, there’s plenty of that natural beauty for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re seeking water- based adventures, upscale shopping, beach combing, or simply a romantic, postcard-worthy place to relax, there’s no better place to spend your honeymoon than this picture-perfect island.”

Of the resort, the travel website said “The Gallows Point Resort is tropical themed, and every single room boasts beautiful, romantic, ocean views from their private terraces. This resort also offers a pool, fully equipped kitchen, maid service, and jacuzzi – amongst other luxurious amenities.”

The resort is a five-minute walk from town, according to the website.

“This is the ideal Caribbean island honeymoon resort – and a place you will love to revisit for years to come,” Flight Network noted.
