AARP is now accepting nominations for its 2017 AARP in the Virgin Islands Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50+ Virgin Islanders who are sharing their experiences, talents and skills to enrich the lives of their community members.

Troy de Chabert-Schuster, AARP VI state director, added, “Volunteers are the driving force of so much of the work in the community in the V.I.  We are happy to receive nominations for this prestigious award.”

Nominations will be evaluated by AARP VI based on how the volunteer’s work has improved the community, supported AARP’s vision and mission, and inspired other volunteers. The award recipient will be announced in early fall.
