The St. Thomas Swimming Association (STSA) held its annual Mixed Event Swim Meet on Saturday, May 6, at the Aquatic Center in Estate Nazareth. Three St. Thomas Stingrays set new V.I. Swimming Federation records.

Veronica Leinenbach set a new 100-meter butterfly record of 1:29:20, bettering the record set by Nicole Hutchens in 1999.

Audrey Moore set a new 50-meter freestyle record of 28:76, which eclipsed the record set by Sasha Klein in 2012.

Ky Odlum’s 100m butterfly record of 101:73 broke the record set by Morgan Locke in 2001.

In other news, STSA will host the Second Annual Youth Sports Festival on Saturday, May 20, at the St. Thomas Aquatic Center. A competitive swim meet will begin at 11 a.m. The public is welcome to attend this free event.
