VIWMA to Host Town Halls to Discuss Commercial Tipping, Waste Water Disposal Fees

The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) invites St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix solid waste and waste water haulers and the public to a series of Town Hall Meetings. The meetings will discuss the implementation of tipping fees and waste water disposal fees to be implemented on Aug. 1. These fees will apply only to the commercial haulers.

Representatives from VIWMA’s Solid Waste and Waste Water Divisions will be available to discuss the details and methodology of the implementation process on all three islands.

The meetings will take place on these dates and at the following locations:

  • St. Croix Curriculum Center, July 13 at 6-8 p.m.
  • St. John Legislative Complex, July 17 at 6-8 p.m.
  • St. Thomas Curriculum Center, July 18 at 6-8 p.m.
