The US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration has issued a Request for Proposals from all business concerns for the United States Virgin Islands, Department of Public Works Project: VI DPC 34(1), Solicitation Number DTFH71-17-R-00014.
The project consists of the reconstruction and widening of approximately 0.5 miles of Veterans Drive (Route 30) from west of Hospital Gade to Long Bay Road in the city of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. The work includes roadway excavation, embankment, aggregate base, asphalt pavement milling, hot asphalt concrete pavement, reinforced concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete, brick, and cobblestone sidewalk, precast modular block retaining walls, drainage, utility (water, telephone, sewer, power, and irrigation) adjustments and replacements, traffic signal and street lighting replacements, and other miscellaneous work. The estimated budget for this project is greater than $25,000,000.
For purposes of this Contract, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontracting goal is 15 percent (15%) of the total contract amount.
This project’s Contract Award/Notice to Proceed is subject to the availability of funds.
