Government Simplifying Payroll for Storm

Valdamier Collens

As recovery efforts continue in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and preparations for the threat of Hurricane Maria, all payroll processing in the STATS and Enterprise Resource Planning System will be on hold until after Hurricane Maria passes, according to Finance Commissioner Valdamier Collens.

This means instead of processing pay vouchers and such, Finance will process a simple, straight 80 hour biweekly Payroll for the Sept. 28 pay date. Accordingly, after the storm passes, miscellaneous pay vouchers must be prepared by Departments and Agencies and submitted to the Department of Finance (Payroll Division) for those employees that require adjustments.
