Reichhold Center Presents Its 2014-2015 Season

Reichhold Center for the Arts announces the following performances it has scheduled for the 2014-2015 season.
Tessanne Chin/ Pressure “Buss” Pipe – Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, Tickets: $65-$45-$35
Two of the Caribbean’s hottest artists kick off the season. Jamaican singing sensation Tessanne Chin took America and the world by storm when she triumphed over dozens of contestants to be crowned winner of NBC’s mega-hit singing competition “The Voice.” Chin, who gained a wide fan base with her 2006 hit “Secret Hideaway,” has since appeared at the White House Woman of Soul Concert alongside heavyweights Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin and Melissa Etheridge.
Performing the same night will be the Virgin Islands’ own Pressure “Buss” Pipe. Pressure’s hit single “Love and Affection” catapulted him onto the world stage. His recent hit “Virgin Islands Nice” has made him the reggae ambassador of the V.I.
An Evening with Natalie Cole – Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, Tickets: $85-$60-$40
Natalie Cole rose to musical success in the mid-1970s as an R&B artist with the hits "This Will Be," "Inseparable," and "Our Love." In the 1990s, she re-recorded standards by her father, the incomparable Nat King Cole. “Unforgettable… With Love” sold more than 7 million copies and also won Cole numerous Grammy awards.
Kenneth “BabyFace” Edmonds – Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, Tickets: $75-$50-$35
A ten-time Grammy winner, Edmonds’ impeccably crafted explorations of love, romance and relationships has propelled the evolution of contemporary pop music throughout the world. As a writer, producer and singer, “Babyface” has earned more than 125 top-10 R&B and pop hits. His album sales are in excess of 500 million units sold worldwide. His hits include “Whip Appeal,” “For the Cool in You” and “Change the World.”
Kirk Franklin: A Gospel Explosion – Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, Tickets: $45-$35-$25
Kirk Franklin is an American gospel musician, choir director and author, who for the past two decades has bridged the gap between gospel and other musical genres. With nine Grammy Awards and 39 Stellar Awards , Franklin is undoubtedly a gospel and contemporary music powerhouse. He is known for leading urban contemporary choirs such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew. Franklin is also the host and executive producer of the gospel talent show "Sunday Best," the highest-rated gospel program in BET network history.
Spencer’s Theater of Illusion – Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7, 2015, Tickets: $40-$30-$20
For over a decade, Spencer’s Theater of Illusion has been mesmerizing and mystifying audiences with mind-bending illusions. An amazing stage presence and his unbelievable tricks have propelled Spencer to become one of the premiere illusionists, ranked among some of the best, including Criss Angel and David Copperfield.
Dzul Dance: Mexico Maya – Saturday, March 21, 2015, Tickets: $40-$30-$20
Dzul Dance fuses contemporary dance with aerial arts, contortion and acrobatics as a means to communicate indigenous pre-Hispanic, Mexican and Latin culture. Reviewers describe the company as: “acrobatic wizardry,” “remarkable elasticity,” “sophisticated” and “eloquent.”
Jeffrey Osborne/Freddie Jackson – Saturday, May 23, 2015, Tickets: $65-$45-$30
The season concludes with two of the biggest names in the music industry. Jeffrey Osborne will perform his hits “Stay With Me Tonight,” “She’s on the Left,” "You Should Be Mine” and more. A former lead vocalist for the band L.T.D., his solo career has earned him five gold and platinum albums.
Freddie Jackson has earned legions of fans with the sultry songs “You Are My Lady” and “Rock Me Tonight.”
