The St. John Arts Festival will be 16 years old in February, bringing to the fore the history, tradition and culture of the people of St. John in its many forms, including arts and crafts, music and dance.

Deaths — St. John
Inez Penn Smalls Is Dead at 92

Aug. 19, 2006 - Inez Penn Smalls died on Aug. 11, at Sea View Nursing Home. She was 92 years old.
She is survived by sons: Godfrey, Paul and Ralph Smalls; sisters: Henrietta Francis and Iris Joseph; and brothers: Edmund and Carl Penn. She is also survived by granddaughters: Roslyn Hawkins, Jasmin Fredericks and Asta Smalls; grandsons: Kevin, Marvin and Paul Smalls Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Emmaus Moravian Church on St. John. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Emmaus Moravian Cemetery, St. John.
All funeral arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
