Air Force Airman William M. Richardson/St. Thomas
Aug. 1, 2010 (Joint Hometown News Service) – Air Force Airman William M. Richardson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of William and Velma Richardson of Estate Bolongo, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
Navy Seaman Recruit Antoine A. Crespo/St. Croix
Aug. 1, 2010 (Fleet Hometown News Center) – Navy Seaman Recruit Antoine A. Crespo, son of Edna C. Serrano of Christiansted, Virgin Islands, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
During the eight-week program, Crespo completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.
The capstone event of boot camp is "Battle Stations." This exercise gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet. "Battle Stations" is designed to galvanize the basic warrior attributes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance in each recruit through the practical application of basic Navy skills and the core values of honor, courage and commitment. Its distinctly ”Navy” flavor was designed to take into account what it means to be a sailor.
Scott Gregory John Ledee, Ensign – U.S. Coast Guard Academy/St. Thomas

Scott Gregory John Ledee, a graduate of the 2003 Class of All Saints Cathedral School on St. Thomas, graduated from basic training in May 2004 from Cape May, New Jersey. Seaman Ledee reported to Coast Guard Cutter PAMLICO (WLIC-80) in New Orleans in June 2004 and then attended New Mexico Military Institute from 2005-2006 and was accepted to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy 2006-2010 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Computer Analysis in May, 2010.
The ensign is stationed on the U. S. Coast Guard Cutter Decisive based in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He is the son of Gregory and Evelyn Ledee; brother of Jordan, Dillen and Connor Ledee; and grandson of Joseph and Emelda Ledee, and Cyril and Anna Querrard.
Army National Guard Pfc. Adrianne D. Council/St. Croix
Aug. 5, 2010 (Joint Hometown News Service} – Army National Guard Pfc. Adrianne D. Council has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and received instruction and practice in physical fitness, basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of Joyce Thomas of Estate Whim, Frederiksted, Virgin Islands, and Charles Council Jr. of Stantonsburg, N.C.
Council is a 2006 graduate of St. Croix Educational Complex High School, Kingshill, Virgin Islands.

Aug. 1, 2010 (Joint Hometown News Service) – Army National Guard Pvt. Karim M. Baksh has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
Baksh is a 2005 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Aug. 6, 2010 (Fleet Hometown News Center)–Navy Seaman Timothy X. Singleton Cole, a 2007 graduate of St. Croix Central High School, Christiansted, V. I., was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Singleton Cole received the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of the training cycle. Training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety.
