Irene Levin, owner/manager of Sol Yoga and Wellness Center on St John, has invited Tarraugh Flaherty, Anusara inspired yoga master of St. Louis, to present at Sol Yoga. Join Levin and Flaherty from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Sol Yoga in Mongoose Junction (above the Barefoot Architect) for an extended class of “Simply Yoga With an Introduction to Anusara.” Also, join Tarraugh from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, for an “Anusara Workshop.” Anusara is epitomized by a celebration of the heart that looks for the good in all people and in all things. Both classes are infused with breath work; attendees will leave restored and energized.
Levin, who holds two certificates in Thai yoga and is an internationally renowned yoga teacher and winner of the Virgin Islands Best Yoga Instructor for three years, has been offering her services to St. Johnians for the past 22 years.
Flaherty, who has studied and practiced yoga internationally, began her yoga practice in 1989, and the study and practice of massage therapy in 1991. Her classes are inspired by the Anusara, Ashtanga, Sivananda lineages as well as Kundalini and Yin traditions. Her latest explorations include certification in Thai yoga therapy and heart sound seminars. She holds a degree in sociology and certification in international studies from Webster University.
