Applicants Sought for 2012 Summer Food Service Program

Applications for the 2012 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) are now available, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the V.I. Department of Education’s Office of Special Nutrition Programs. School-age children from two to 18 years may receive free meals through the feeding program. Persons 19 years or older who have been determined to have a mental or physical disability and are participating in a public or private non-profit school program for the mentally or physically disabled are also eligible to receive meals.
 For sponsorship application packages or for more information, representatives of public or non-profit organizations may contact the State Office of Special Nutrition Programs at 774-9373 on St. Thomas or 773-1095, ext. 7082 on St. Croix.
