A St. Thomas male was beaten severely Sunday afternoon by three males armed with a bat and sticks, according to a VIPD release.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive black male on his back in the southern end of the Frydenhoj ball field. According to the release, he had a bloody mouth.
A broken, wooden baseball bat and pieces of wood were also observed on the ball field in close proximity to the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Doctors who treated the victim stated he had sustained a great deal of blunt force trauma to his head. He was admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
Based on the information gained from witnesses and the investigation, an all-points bulletin was issued in the territory and the British Virgin Islands for three persons of interest.
Two of the three were detained in Tortola, BVI, and are presently charged with unlawful entry for entering that island illegally.
Law Enforcement on St. Thomas are working closely with Tortola officials on this matter. A third person of interest is still being sought for questioning.
According to the release, the investigation is ongoing.
