Domestic Violence Lands Two in Jail

Juana “Shabella” Reynoso, 45, and her former boyfriend, Courtney Matthias, 41, were arrested on St. John about 1 a.m. Friday following a disturbance at Matthias’ house.

Police said in a news release issued Saturday that Reynoso caused a disturbance and threw rocks at Matthias’ house. Matthias assaulted Reynoso with a machete, cutting her left and right forearms.

Both suspects were arrested on domestic violence charges and held without bail pending their court appearance.
