Mongoose Junction’s first St. John Rib Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, June 8, in the rear parking lot of Mongoose Junction.

 VI Council on the Arts, a division of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, has organized Poetry Out Loud (POL), which encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization, performance and competition.

 “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry is a landmark American drama. Set in the early 50s in a southside Chicago ghetto, it's a portrayal of a family trying to rise out of its impoverished existence.

 The West Indian Company Ltd. (WICO) will pay tribute in February to the era when the company had an established presence on St. Croix. The Centennial Musical Celebration with a Crucian Jazz Experience will feature popular St. Croix band Broncodem.

 “The Fantasticks,” by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, is the world’s longest running musical -- running for over 52 years in Manhattan and entrancing generations of audiences the world over.

 Produce and livestock, along with a wide variety of arts and crafts, will be the focus of the St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture and Food Fair, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 3, and Sunday, Nov. 4.

 Reichhold Center for the Arts presents the first show in its Foundation series “An Evening with Brian McKnight” at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26.

 Pistarckle Theater starts its new season off with a bang with the season opener “Cabaret.”

Pistarckle Theater presents “Leading the Way,” an evening of live skits and video shorts created by its Leadership Camp students this at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 16 and 17.

The stage will be aglow with local talent June 12 when Dancing Classrooms, a social development program for 5^th and 8^th grade children, holds its annual Colors of the Rainbow Team Match Competition, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Reichhold Center for the Arts.
