Donald W. Barshinger, 80, died suddenly on Aug. 1, at his home in Malvern, Pennsylvania. He is the father of Virgin Islands Senator-At-Large Craig W. Barshinger.

Erva Claire Boulon Denham, known as “E.C.” to those who loved her, passed away quietly in her own bed, at home and with a smile on her face on April 15. She was 92 years old.

Last Tuesday the region received the sad news that Rex Nettleford -- the iconic, irrepressible, one-of-a-kind personality from Jamaica -- had died as a result of a heart attack.
