Department of Health Commissioner Julia Sheen is advising the public of recent reports of conjunctivitis, commonly referred to as pink eye, in the territory and is urging residents to seek medical attention if they feel they have contracted the infection.

The Department of Human Services, in conjunction with others, will host Child Find, a free developmental screening for children from birth to 5 years-old.

A workshop entitled “Tai Chi Alchemy” will be taught by Rick Barrett on Thursday, Jan. 21 and Saturday, Jan. 23, at Solyoga in Mongoose Junction, Rick Barrett, author of “Taijiquan: Through the Western Gate,” presents a radical vision of the effect of consciousness on human ability. In an introductory presentation and two days of workshops, “Tibetan Medicine for the Western World” will be presented by Dr. Barry Clark of New Zealand, who is the only Westerner to have been trained in the Tibetan medical system.
