St. Thomas' Dominicanos Take Llacos Inter-Island Softball Tourney

The Dominicanos softball team of St. Thomas came to St. Croix over the weekend and took home the championship trophy after beating Puerto Rico 15-11 at the Estate Profit Ball Park in front of a raucous pro-Dominicanos crowd.

Caribs Boys, BCB Girls are CHS JV Tourney Champions

St. Croix Central High School wrapped up its Junior Varsity Basketball Tournament Sunday afternoon with the Host Caribs taking the boys championship from John Woodson Junior high 46-36, and Bertha C. Boschulte of St. Thomas taking the Girls championship over the host lady Caribs in a 33-30 barn burner.

Vols Hold Off DePaul in Paradise Jam Action

Tennessee senior center Wayne Chism exploded late in the second half Sunday to help the Volunteers hold on for a 57-53 win over DePaul as the Paradise Jam Basketball Tournament continued. The final games will be played Monday.
