FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

Dean C. Plaskett, acting commissioner of Planning and natural Resources, and FEMA will sponsor a Floodplain Development Workshop on March 30, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Blue Marlin Room at Sapphire Beach Resort on St. Thomas.
The workshhop has been designed for architects, engineers, draftsmen and land surveyors in the territory. Mr. Paul Weberg, a FEMA national flood insurance program expert, will conduct the workshop.
This workshop affords an opportunity to become familiar with the flood zone, rules that govern it, and how it relates to the permitting process.
