Individuals or groups that sell items such as flowers for special events, like Mothers Day, Valentines Day, etc., are advised that a business license is required.
Registered non-profit organizations are not affected by this requirement.
Andrew Rutnik, acting commissioner for the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, encourages anyone that falls into the categories that require a license, file for a business license.
