SINBAD 'LOCALS' TICKETS VIRTUALLY SOLD OUT

On the first day of local ticket sales for the Sinbad Soul Music Festival, all but a handful of the specially priced tickets were sold.
Kmart at Tutu Park Mall reported it had about 1,400 tickets at the locals' price and all of the three-night-package tickets at $50 were sold. Only a few $20 tickets remain for Saturday and Sunday night shows, according to Mike Biggerstaff, general manager.
The same goes for Kmart at Lockhart Gardens. All of the package tickets are gone with a few tickets left for Saturday and Sunday night.
Chris Hansen, owner of Modern Music, said he has about 30 tickets left for Saturday night.
Both Hansen and Steve Topp of Kmart at Lockhart Gardens said they were given 120 tickets for each day of the event and 220 package tickets. Hansen said that was the total for both Modern Music stores.
Kisha Roberts of Sam Goody said her store had 12 tickets left for Saturday night at the end of the day Wednesday, but could not reveal how many tickets she had received. She said it was against the contract policy.
Biggerstaff said he didn't think more tickets would be made available at the discounted prices, but said full-priced tickets — at $150 for the package and $60 for individual concerts — would be on sale soon.
Andre' Wiseman, a spokesperson for the Soul Music Festival, is on the island, but could not be reached for comment.
