The attorney general's report on sexual harassment charges against acting Tourism Commissioner Clement "Cain" Magras will be presented to the governor Friday.
Assistant Attorney General Alva Swan said, "The report is on Attorney General Iver Stridiron's desk."
But Lee Rohn, the attorney for the Tourism employee who filed the complaint said an investigator from the AG's office told her it would be at least two weeks before his report would be finalized.
Investigator Leonard Carrion of the St. Croix AG's office would only say he was one of the investigators on the case. He would not answer any other questions, referring them to the attorney general.
Swan said three investigators were assigned to the case, two on St. Thomas and one on St. Croix.
Heather Carty filed the complaint against Magras on April 27, the same day the Senate Chambers was considering his confirmation.
In her charges against Magras, Carty alleged that on February 5 Magras invited her into his hotel room "ostensibly" to answer a phone call and then threw her down on the bed where he "tried to put his hands beneath my clothes, tried to kiss me, fondle me and requested I have sex with him."
The charges have been filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the V.I. Civil Rights Commission.
Stridiron said the two agencies, EEOC and the Civil Rights Commission, would also be investigating the allegations.
