EDUCATION SEEKS INPUT AT SUMMER MEETINGS

Ruby Simmonds, acting Commissioner of Education, seeks public input at public meetings to be arranged this summer. Three scheduling issues are the topics to be covered:
1. Start Time for Public Schools
2. The Carnival Week schedule
3. The Start of the Public School Year
Simmonds said, "These issues need to be aired publicly in order that we may get maximum feedback from parents, educators, students and other interested persons. Therefore when we announce the dates, time and venues of these meetings, we look forward to having wide public participation from the entire community."
Persons wishing to provide comment, who will be off island in July, are encouraged to submit written statements to:
The Department of Education
44-46 Kongens Gade
