HIGH SCHOOL GRADS WIN ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS

Two St. Thomas high school graduates, Curtis Henry of Eudora Kean and Briana Rose Jacobson of All Saints, are the 1999 winners of the Harry Coulianos Art Scholarships awarded by the St. Thomas – St. John Arts Council.
"The awards, totaling $ 1,500 a piece, are given to two deserving graduating high school students who have been accepted into an accredited college for studies in music or fine art," explained Clarence R. Cuthbertson the St. Thomas – St. John Arts Council Executive Director. The awards are made possible by the generosity of the Coulianos family. For the last two years in a row STAC has matched the award.
Curtis Henry will be studying music/voice at Shaw University in North Carolina and Briana Rose Jacobson will pursue studies in photography at the University of Miami.
