Delegate Donna M. Christian-Christensen accompanied Vice President Al Gore to the National Urban League Conference in Houston today to advise him on health issues to be included in his address to the League.
Christensen, who was attending the National Medical Association conference in Las Vegas, flew with Gore to Houston this morning on Air Force Two to discuss health care issues of concern to African Americans.
Christensen, a physician, chairs the Congressional Black Caucus's Health Braintrust.
Ther Delegate said in a statement that she would take the opportunity to speak to Gore about furthering economic initiatives for the territory as well. Gore's office has oversight for zone development.
The delegate will return to the NMA convention later today.
