The phone lines at the Senate on St. Thomas are working again. Problems with the switchboard equipment Wednesday caused callers to experience busy signals and long rings.
Senate President Almando "Rocky" Liburd said in a release Thursday phone number 774-0880 was back in service.
However, Liburd said in a later release, the fix is temporary. As a result, for the next few days callers will hear a computer voice answer the phone. Once the computer voice is done speaking callers will be forwarded to a live attendant.
