WOMEN'S SOCCER TO AID IN LIFA TOURNEY

St. Thomas Women's Soccer STWS has canceled Saturday's practice to attend, support and assist with the LIFA (Leeward Island Football Association) tournament. The St. Thomas Soccer Association (the parent body) is hosting the two-day tournament and member associations such as STWS are providing assistance.
Members of the St. Thomas Women's Soccer will assist during the Flag Ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 4 p.m. and by selling tickets, selling in the concession during the tournament. Members wishing to assist with the Flag Ceremony should bring their complete soccer uniform. To volunteer or for more details contact Tanya Ward Benjamin at 776-2105.
The LIFA tournament will be held at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. The Opening Ceremony will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 with the first game at 5 p.m. This game will be St. Kitts vs. St. Croix followed at 7 p.m. with St. Thomas vs. Antigua. On Sunday, January 21, the losers of the two Saturday games will play at 4 p.m. The championship game will be at 6 p.m. The teams of this championship round will be the winner of the 7 p.m. Saturday game and the winner of the Sunday 4 p.m. game.
Tickets for the tournament are $7 each evening for adults or $3 for children. A two-day pass is available for $10 for adults and $5 for children for both evenings.
