INVESTIGATION CONTINUES IN WOMAN’S DEATH

Police on St. Croix are awaiting toxicology results from Marion Bischoff-Hensen
to determine whether the investigation into her death last Saturday morning will change.
"Right now the case is classified as a dead on arrival," St. Croix Deputy Police Chief Novelle Francis said Friday.
He said tissue samples were sent off island for analysis but have not returned. An autopsy revealed that Hensen died of a fractured skull after falling from the third floor balcony of the King Christian Hotel on the morning of May 5.
However, the investigation into the death is far from over, Francis said. He declined to identify the man who was reportedly in the room with Hensen when she fell off the balcony.
"He has not been charged," Francis said. "So why identify him?"
Hensen owned two jewelry stores on St. Thomas and St. Croix, there has been no indication as to whether the Silver World Jewelry Stores will re-open.
