BIGGS REQUESTING BIDS FOR SCHOOL REPAIRS

June 9, 2001 – Marc Biggs, commissioner of the Department of Property and Procurement, is soliciting bids for the 2001 School Summer Maintenance Program to be conducted at 20 public schools in the St. Thomas-St. John district.
The program, which is conducted every summer, starts at the close of the school year in the hope that repairs will be completed before the opening of school in the fall.
Bidding documents can be obtained at the third floor offices of Property and Procurement in Subbase. A non-refundable $20 deposit is required. Bids will be accepted at the department until 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19.
