HEALTH INSURANCE MEETINGS SET

Nov. 19, 2001 – Local government employees and retirees with questions about the government's new medical and dental programs are invited to meet with health insurance program officials.
Meetings will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 23 at the Charlotte Amalie High School Auditorium in St. Thomas for government employees. Retirees meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at the auditorium.
The meetings shift to St. Croix on Nov. 27. Government employees will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. at the St. Croix Educational Complex Auditorium. Retirees gather at the same location from noon until 3 p.m.
In St. John, government employees and retirees will meet from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the Legislature building. Government employees are invited to meet from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. the same day at Julius E. Sprauve School auditorium.
All participants need to bring documents, including beneficiary designation information and proof of current deductions.
The government recently switched from Blue Cross/Blue Shield. It now uses Cigna for medical insurance and Met Life for dental plans.
