Jan. 19, 2002 – Clarence Cuthertson, director of St. John's Carabana Ensemble Theater Company, will be conducting a 16-week playwriting workshop that will meet on Saturday mornings at Pistarkle Theater on St. Thomas.
Sessions will be held from Jan. 26 through May 18, starting at 9:30 a.m. There is a $100 fee and participation is limited to a dozen people.
Cuthbertson, a playwright whose work has been produced in the Virgin Islands and on the mainland, said each participant will completle a one-act play by the end of the workshop.
The participants will learn from one another as they craft their plays, he said. "We will have readings of all of the completed plays by professional actors," he added.
