Carnival Troupe Practices Continue
Practices for UVI's 2002 Carnival Troupe continue every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 4:30 p.m. Practices are now being held at the cafeteria on the St. Thomas campus. Persons interested in joining the troupe should call 693-1200 or 693-1541 on St. Thomas, or 692-4234 on St. Croix.
"Knock 'Em Dead" Opens April 12
The UVI Theatre Department's production of "Knock 'Em Dead" opens Friday and runs through Monday, at the UVI Little Theatre. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students, and are available on the St. Thomas campus at the Bookstore and the Humanities Building, and in Charlotte Amalie at Dockside Bookstore and Nisky Pharmacy.
"Knock 'Em Dead" was written by Tom Oldendick and Will Roberson. Dennis Parker is the director, with Michael Prenevost serving as technical director and Rosary Harper in charge of costuming and house management. The play features a cast of eight drawn from the faculty, the student body and the community.
Spring Banquet and Ball Set April 19 on St. Croix
The Social and Cultural Committee of the Student Government Association will sponsor the Eleventh Annual Spring Banquet and Ball, on Friday, April 19. The ball begins at 8 p.m., at the St. Croix Village Botanical Garden. The theme is: "A Night as Precious as Pearls." Attire is formal, and the selected colors are shades of white.
Tickets are $25 for students and $30 for faculty, staff and alumni. To purchase tickets call Aminata Sagdoune at 692-4248 or Cleone Lynch at 692-4188. Tickets are also available on the St. Croix campus at the Student Activities and Academic Services offices and in residence halls.
