July 17, 2002 – As part of the 5th biennial convention of the National Hampton Alumni Association, the Hampton Alumni Choir will present a concert on Friday in the ballroom of Marriott's Frenchman's Reef Beach Resort that's open to the public.
The choir, comprising former Hampton Institute/Hampton University students, will perform under the direction of Roland Carter, a member of the Hampton Class of 1964.
The concert is to begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children; they will be available at the door. For more information, call the association's Greater St. Thomas-St. John Alumni Chapter at 643-5536 or 771-1302.
