VISITING DANES TO PERFORM TWO CONCERTS

July 20, 2002 – You don't have to speak Danish or love opera to enjoy "Det lille Operakor," a musical program which translates to "a little opera music" that will be presented twice by St. Croix visitors from Denmark.
The concerts are being sponsored by the St. Croix Friends of Denmark in cooperation with the St. Croix Landmarks Society.
A flyer describes the weekend concerts as "a musical exchange with our Danish friends," who will perform "gospel, spirituals, Nordic folk songs and a little opera."
The performances will be on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sydney Lee Theater at Island Center and on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Estate Little La Grange "under the Saman tree."
Tickets for members of the sponsoring organizations are $7.50. For others they are $10, with a student rate of $5. For reservations and information, call 692-5303.
