COST OF PASSPORTS GOES UP AUG. 19

Aug. 12, 2002 – The cost of passports is going up Monday, Aug. 19.
The U.S. State Department advisory grid sheet, in a release from the V.I. Lieutenant Governor's Office, shows a range of passport fees, routine renewal, execution fees, routine service and expedited service, all of which have differing fees.
The bottom-line costs, however, have changed as follows:
— Ages 16 and up: was $60, now is $85.
— Under age 16: was $40, now is $70.
— Routine passport renewal: was $40, now is $55.
— Expedited service: the added cost was $35, now is $60, added to applicable fee above.
Procedures and delivery estimated times are not affected. Visit travel.state.gov for more information.
