Aug. 14, 2002 – Roy L. Schneider Hospital is having a clean-up, paint-up day Beautification Day Saturday, Aug. 17, and the community is invited to join staff, families and friends in the effort.
With the goal of providing "an aesthetically beautiful environment where you will be proud to bring your families for all their medical needs," said a release, they seek donations of paintbrushes, paint, brooms, mops, buckets, and island plants as well as volunteer labor.
The effort will go from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and volunteers will get breakfast and lunch, T-shirts, and raffled door prizes. Sign up by calling 776-8311 ext. 2273, 5092 or 2286.
