Starting at 6 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, the 19th annual Fort-to-Fort Relay Road Race will close out the current season. The relay, which features teams consisting of four runners each, begins at Fort Christianvern in Christiansted. The relay reverses its direction for the first time, and heads out of the fort on North Side Road to Midland Road to Mahogany Road through the Rain Forest to Frederiksted. The total distance is 25K, or 15.5 miles. The first leg is 3.5 miles, and the remaining three legs are 4.0 miles each. Entry fee is $20 per team. Every team must have four runners, the entry form says.
