Aug. 21, 2002 – The Government Employees Retirement System will not process loan applications from Sept. 5 through Sept. 30. Administrator Laurence E. Bryan said in a release that the temporary suspension is necessary so GERS can close its Fiscal Year 2002 accounts.
Processing of loan applications will resume on Oct. 1, he said.
Loan applications are accepted on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applicants must present valid identification with photograph and their two most recent paycheck stubs.
