FRIENDS OF DENMARK MEET TO PLAN EVENTS

Sept. 3, 2002 – Active members and persons interested in becoming members of the St. Thomas/St. John Friends of Denmark Society are particularly invited to a general meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the V.I. Cultural Heritage Institute, on "Education Street", St. Thomas.
On the agenda, according to a release, are:
— Planning for the 2003 Friendship Festival next March, when more than 80 Danes will visit St. Thomas.
— Approval of revisions to bylaws.
— Information about the upcoming Soup Sale.
— Discussion of the cruise ship luncheon to celebrate the society's 35th anniversary and to honor past presidents.
