DEPARTMENTS COOPERATE IN MON BIJOU CLEANUP

Sept. 7, 2002 – Cleanup of the Mon Bijou area is being undertaken jointly by the Agriculture, Health, Housing Parks and Recreation, Planning and Natural Resources, Police and Public Works Departments, along with the Anti-Litter and Beautification Commission, according to a Government House release.
Personnel and equipment are being pooled for the effort as the agencies work cooperatively to clean the Mon Bijou gut and remove abandoned junk vehicles and discarded appliances from the surrounding area, the release said.
