SERVICES ANNOUNCED FOR ALEXANDER FARRELLY

Sept. 13, 2002 – Government House and the office of Delegate Donna M. Christensen have announced plans for services and related events scheduled for former Governor Alexander A. Farrelly, who died at his home in Alexandria, Virginia, on Sept. 10 following a long illness.
On Monday, services will be held in Washington, D.C., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 619 Tenth Street NW. Viewing and memorials will be held beginning at 9 a.m., with a funeral mass to follow at 10 a.m. A reception will be held following the service at the Hyatt hotel across from the church.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the governor's body will lie in state at Government House on St. Thomas. Times of viewing have not been announced.
On Wednesday, a memorial service will be held on St. John. The time and place have not been announced.
On Thursday, a memorial service will be held on St. Croix. The time and place have not been announced.
On Friday, Sept. 20, at 9:30 a.m., a funeral mass will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cathedral on St. Thomas. Interment is to follow immediately; the cemetery was not specified.
