PROSECUTION DECISIONS INVOLVING POLICE DELAYED

Dec 10, 2002 – Attorney General Iver Stridiron announced on Tuesday that he has postponed the release of his decisions on the prosecution of two homicide cases involving police officers.
Stridiron had said earlier that he would release his decisions on the two cases on Tuesday. According to a release from his office on Tuesday, he now will wait and release them on Dec. 19. along with his decisions regarding four other homicide cases that he is reviewing.
Of the six cases, five involve police officers. One of those is the shooting death of a nude man on St. Croix's Dorsch Beach last April after an alleged confrontation with an officer patrolling the beach.
