GLADFELTER TO LECTURE ON ST. THOMAS

V.I. Marine Advisory Service and UVI's Center for Marine and Environmental Studies will host a seminar on the dramatic decline of Elkhorn coral in the Caribbean and around the world by researcher Dr. Betsy Gladfelter at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the MacLean Marine Science Center on the St. Thomas campus.
Dr. Gladfelter is an expert on V.I. corals. She conducted much of the research she will discuss while working at the West Indies Laboratory on St. Croix from 1974 until it was closed in 1990. Dr. Gladfelter is currently a guest investigator with the Marine Policy Center at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts. The presentation is free and open to the public.
