EZEKIEL HENRY LATEST HOMICIDE VICTIM

April 29, 2003 – A man shot to death Monday on St. Thomas has been identified as 29-year-old Ezekiel Henry, whose last known address was the Oswald Harris housing community.
Henry was with a female passenger in his white Toyota Corolla when the pair stopped on the roadside of the Donoe bypass near Mandahl to buy some coconuts from a vendor, according to the Police Department's public information officer, Sgt. Thomas Hannah.
Hannah said the assailant was driving a gold Nissan Pathfinder. Henry was shot multiple times and police have a material witness to the crime. "We are trying to determine a motive," Hannah said. As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, he said, no suspects had been identified.
The passenger in Henry's car was uninjured, Hannah said. He did not know if there were any passengers in the assailant's vehicle.
The homicide is the ninth on St. Thomas and the 11th in the territory this year. It is the first reported slaying in more than five weeks.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Major Crime Unit at 774-2196, the Crime Line at 777-8711 or the Investigations Bureau at 774-4050. Calls and information will be held in the "strictest of confidence," Hannah said.
