July 15, 2003 — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of the University of the Virgin Islands, in collaboration with the V.I. Economic Development Authority, is offering a seminar on each island the week of July 21 to explain "EDC Benefits for Small Businesses."
The seminar will present information that small businesses can use so that they can capitalize on the benefits, which business people may have thought were applicable only to large businesses.
Admission is $20 at the door, but there is a $10 discount for those who pre-register and pay by Monday, July 21, said a release. UVI employees and students are admitted free, but they must pre-register. For more information and to pre-register call UVI-SBDC on St. Thomas at 776-3206 or on St. Croix at 692-5270.
The schedule:
On St. John: from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Legislature conference room in Cruz Bay
On St. Croix: from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the UVI-SBDC training center at the Sunshine Mall.
On St. Thomas: from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at the UVI-SBDC training facility at Suite 720 in the Nisky Center.
