BECOME A LITERACY VOLUNTEER

The St. Thomas-St.John Literacy Link will be offering 12 hours of training during the month of August for people interested in becoming literacy volunteer tutors on St. John.
The training sessions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. every Saturday in August at St. Ursula's Senior Center in Cruz Bay.
State Director for Vocational-Technical and Adult Education, Anna Lewis, stated in a release that this volunteer opportunity is open to anyone interested in teaching someone to read and write; volunteers are not required to be teachers.
Anyone interested in registering to become a volunteer tutor should call the State Office of Vocational-Technical and Adult Education at 776-3484.
