GRAHAM NAMED DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF FOR ST. CROIX

Aug. 1, 2003 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has tapped Fire Service Lt. Ovaldo Graham to be the new deputy fire chief for St. Croix.
The appointment, announced in a release issued Wednesday, is to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Roosevelt Parson after 20 years of government service.
Graham has worked for the Fire Service for more than 22 years, moving up through the ranks to fire lieutenant. He has received training in wildfire suppression, hazardous materials response, terrorist bombing and emergency management policy, among other areas.
He also was a supply specialist in the V.I. Army National Guard for four years and a training coordinator for the National Guard.
