LITERACY CENTER FIRST DAY TRAINING TUTORS

The St. Croix Literacy Center training workshops in basic literacy for tutors begin today and go through Aug. 8, at the center located at the Theodora Dunbavin Complex in La Grande Princesse.
The workshops, developed by Literacy Volunteers of America, will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"The workshops will prepare the volunteer to teach reading and writing to adult learners" said Zoraida Jacobs, literacy coordinator for the St. Croix District. For details see Source article in Community/ Other section.
